Novak Djokovic is the only No. 1 ranked player left in the tournament and will take Centre Court in a few moments.
Maria Sharapova is gone from the tournament after suffering a defeat to Sabine Lisicki (15) in two straight sets. 6-4, 6-3. Sharapova will not have a chance to win back-to-back Grand Slams.
In other action, Serena Williams proceeded to the Quarterfinals after winning earlier today. She played against Yaroslava Shvedova and won 6-1, 2-6, 7-5.
It was not easy but at least she battled back to survive in Wimbledon.
Roger Federer also got into the quarters as he defeated Xavier Malisse in four sets. The scores in that draw were 7-6, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
Agnieszka Radwanska (3) moved on after beating Camila Giorgi (145) 6-2, 6-3.
Joining these players in the Quarterfinals will be Petra Kvitova and Angelique Kerber.
Victoria Azarenka (2) beat Ana Ivanovic after completely dominating their match 6-1, 6-0.
Djokovic will look to continue defending his title. He is facing fellow Serbian, Viktor Troicki (34).
If he wins he will play against either Florian Meyer or Richard Gasquet, who have yet to complete their match as the rain is impeding play.
Azarenka had to play her match with a closed roof at Centre Court.
Do not miss a moment of Wimbledon as upsets have ocurred throughout the tournament.
