At the World Cup, Romelu Lukaku had a breakout performance for Belgium, showing off his athleticism and skills up front and now the Chelsea star, who was given on loan to Everton, could be on his way out of both Stamford Bridge and Goodison Park, as Liverpool, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid have shown interest in the 21 year old star, while goalie Thibaut Courtois has also shown the world how good he is.
According to Pro Soccer Talk, both Thibaut Courtois and Lukaku showed off how good they are and how bright the future is for Belgium at the tournament in Brazil and now Chelsea and the two players have decisions to make. Courtois has been at Athletico Madrid on loan and now is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world and he went toe to toe with Tim Howard in the World Cup, but of course the Blues have Petr Cech.
Lukaku has received interest from Tottenham and Atletico Madrid according to PST and Lukaku was quoted as saying that he plans on spending time with family and taking a break following the World Cup before deciding on his next move. Lukaku spoke about being more experienced and playing better overall and that he wants to win titles and that will be a main priority for him going forward and that he plans on having discussions following his break.
Just as the World Cup was starting, Lukaku confirmed reports that he wants to get out of Chelsea so that he can play more consistently. Lukaku said that there are a number of clubs that are interested in him and that he has made it clear to Chelsea how he feels about the situation, although it might be in the team's best interests to give him more of a chance after what he showed at the World Cup.
