The Toronto Argonauts and Ottawa Redblacks are playing on the CFL schedule on ESPN on Friday night and the game is live on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN website with a live stream at 7 pm ET at TD Place Stadium as the Canadian Football League continues its coverage and the game is a big one for the Redblacks, as they are playing the first home football game in the city in nearly 10 years and they will matchup with Ricky Ray and the Argonauts.
The team played their first two games away against Winnipeg and Edmonton and now they return home and it should be a great atmosphere despite the team losing their first two games. The team now is 0-2 on the season and they lost 36-28 in their opening game and they fell 27-11 to Edmonton and now they have the chance to do it at home in front of their fans, as they have been waiting a long time for this one.
Ottawa has a tough schedule coming up and they will be home against Toronto before hitting the road again for Hamilton the week after and then the team plays against Saskatchewan, Calgary and then Edmonton again. Ottawa played their first game of the season on the road in Winnipeg and they opened the game well with three touchdowns in the first quarter, but in the CFL no lead is safe and they ended up losing the game after a comeback against the Blue Bombers and now they will try and get this one at home.
Ricky Ray knows what's at stake and he comes in looking to quiet the crowd, as he knows that the fans will be wild and loud for the matchup. The Toronto Argonauts come into the game needing a win, as they are just 1-2 on the season and while Montreal is also just 1-2 with two points, things could change quickly and they do not want to fade in the east division. This is a divisional game and Ottawa comes in 0-2 and Hamilton is also down there at 0-2 and both teams will be looking to improve.
The west division has Edmonton leading and they have been very impressive and now they are the top team in the CFL. The team has eight points after their win on Thursday night and they have 108 points scored this season and Calgary is next in the standings with four points. Winnipeg is next with a 3-1 record, while BC is coming in with a 1-2 record along with Saskatchewan. Ray comes in with 982 yards this season and five touchdowns and he is looking to have a better year than last year when he was in and out and hopes to return to some past form with his stats from his first season in Toronto with over 4,000 yards.
