The NY Giants have David Wilson cleared for team activities as training camp opens and with Rashad Jennings signed, many have wondered whether he will be the starter and in fantasy football that is a major question and both players could be very valuable and are a great handcuff for fantasy owners this year.
Jennings was signed in free agency this offseason, while Pro Football Talk reports that Wilson is now cleared for team activities after having a neck injury last season. Wilson was a first round pick two years ago and has been mostly banged up and a disappointment for the team, but now he has the chance to get back onto the field.
The Giants also lost Chris Snee to retirement and Wilson did not know his future until now and he has the chance to be a very solid offensive option for the Giants. The team has a new offense and Ben McAdoo is looking to spark things out of the backfield and both Jennings and Wilson could be options for fantasy owners. Last season Wilson was a major disappointment and after suffering his neck injury, he is thrilled to be back.
Wilson said that he was "cleared for everything" and that is welcome news for the Giants and for fantasy owners.
