The Seattle Sounders and the LA Galaxy are playing live on the MLS soccer schedule on Monday night and the game is from CenturyLink Field in Washington and the matchup starts past 10 pm ET and has a live stream online from WatchESPN and is on TV from ESPN2 as Los Angeles tries to get back on the winning side of things and the Sounders are trying to remain first overall in Major League Soccer.
The matchup on national TV has the Sounders and the Galaxy matched up and those are two of the most popular teams in the western conference. Seattle is leading the MLS in points while Los Angeles is just out of playoff position right now with the chance to move up and they pulled up after an eight game undefeated streak. The team comes in after losing to Sporting Kansas City and now they are on the road in Seattle after the Sounders won 2-0 against Portland to stay on top of the west standings.
The teams played back in September last year out in California and the teams went to a 1-1 draw and that was the first time in five games that the Sounders put a goal through and they come in playing well again and the are one of the best home teams in the league. The Sounders have a massive crowd at the Link for their games and they now have 38 points in 18 games this season and their last game was a win at home against Portland. DeAndre Yedlin played well in his return from the World Cup and so has Clint Dempsey and the Sounders have been on top of the standings for most of the season and are looking to stay there.
The Sounders have played very well at home and they now have six straight wins at the Link and the Galaxy are now trying to stop a streak from starting after snapping their eight game unbeaten streak last week against KC. The team is now just out of playoff position and they are with 27 points in 17 games and they have some to make up and that could be huge for the team moving forward. The Timbers are there but have played four more matches, while Vancouver has played three more.
Sporting opened things up early against LA and then they went up 2-0 in the second half before a goal from the Galaxy, but the team couldn't tie things up. The Galaxy hadn't lost a match since back in May and they went 5-0-3 during their stretch and now they are trying to at least get a point from the Sounders match. Robbie Keane has been playing very well and he now has three goals in the last two matches and he is in double digits for the year and he will have to keep going for the team to be successful this season.
