Jul 29, 2014 09:16 PM EDT

Real Madrid and AS Roma are playing live on the Guinness International Champions Cup schedule on Tuesday and the match is live from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas and starts up at 9:15 pm ET on FOX Sports 2 and streaming online from Fox Soccer GO as these two European clubs go at it in America and the game for the ICC comes a week ahead of the final and has stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale leading the way.

Real Madrid started off their American tour without some of their top stars, but they will have Ronaldo back on Tuesday for the match against Roma and that will be big as he returns from a knee injury. Ronaldo had a busy summer playing in the World Cup and while Portugal lost in the first stage and did not advance out of the groups, Ronaldo made his presence felt and had a heartbreaking play against the Americans, tying up that game against the US on the final play in Brazil in group play.

Real Madrid lost to Inter Milan in their opening game of the tournament in penalty shootouts and while the team played well overall, they will need to do better on Tuesday to get a victory. The team pulled ahead with a goal from Bale and he has been strong so far to start in the preseason, but Inter Milan was able to come back in the second half. Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric are expected to play as well for real Madrid and that should give the team a major boost heading into the matchup.

Both teams need the win here in this tournament for hopes of making it to the championship and this tourney has two pools of teams and the top clubs in Europe are battling it out, including Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Inter Milan and these clubs and now they are looking to get on the right track. Real comes in after winning the Champions League this year and they have made some major additions this offseason, including adding James Rodriguez

Manchester United took a 3-0 lead on Roma in their game before the team bounced back and they ended up losing 3-2 in the match and that was a promising performance for the team. The group A match on Tuesday before this is Manchester United taking on Inter Milan and that will be in Landover near Washington and this is the other matchup before Pool B has a game on Wednesday with Manchester City taking on Liverpool and that is at Yankee Stadium.

Roma and Real Madrid are looking to get on the positive side of things after losing their first matches and Real Madrid comes in with high expectations after winning the UCL and just missing out on the La Liga title. Barcelona added Luis Suarez this summer and that will be massive and now Messi and company will be even tougher and Real comes in with signings of their own, adding James the year after getting Bale from Tottenham to join Ronaldo.
