New England Revolution vs. Colorado Rapids Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming MLS Soccer

Jul 30, 2014 07:22 PM EDT

The New England Revolution and Colorado Rapids are playing on the Major League Soccer schedule on Wednesday night and the game from Gillette Stadium stats up at 7:30 pm ET as the two MLS teams look to get a win and now the Revolution are trying to snap a long losing streak as this week kicks off and they are trying to get back into playoff position in the MLS standings eastern conference.

NE is looking to not make history on Wednesday night, as they are hosting the Rapids at home and have now lost eight straight games. The team has done that once before and that is one shy of the club record of nine and they need to find a way to get things going, as it has been quite a while since the team was on the winning side in MLS play. The Rapids come into the game after getting a win against Chivas USA and that was a 3-0 victory and now they have some momentum after New England lost 2-1 against the Columbus Crew.

Luckily for New England, their slide came at a decent time, as they are still right in the mix for the playoffs in the east. The team is just a point back of the fifth spot and the New York red Bulls are playing on Wednesday night as well and a win here or even some points could get them back into postseason position. The second half of the season is crucial and Sporting Kansas City comes in as the leaders in the east.

New England is tied with Philly on points, but they have played one less game and they are just three points back of the Crew and of Toronto, who is also in action against DC United, the second place team in the east. The west standings are taking shape in the second half, as Colorado is in playoff position ahead of Dallas, while the LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake and Seattle are in the lead. The Sounder are in first place with 38 points and the teams chasing in the standings include the Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers close to playoff position.

New England knows that these points are crucial and they are trying to turn it around after losing to the Crew. The game turned late in the first half when Columbus took the lead and while New England was able to tie things up later on, the team gave up another goal and they couldn't overcome that deficit and now have lost eight in a row and nine is the team record and this is the longest streak of losing since Toronto had nine in 2012.
