Liverpool and AC Milan are playing live on the Guinness International Champions Cup schedule on Saturday as the last of four games and it is live from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte and starts up past 6:30 pm ET on the NBC Sports Network and NBCSN Live Extra website as the Reds try and keep things going to get into the tourney final in Miami next week.
Liverpool came up short last season in the Premier League standings behind Manchester City and now they are looking to bounce back this season. The team was one of the highest scoring last year and now they are coming in without Luis Suarez after his transfer to Barcelona and that gives the Reds a void they will have to make up. Brendan Rodgers is looking to have players like Raheem Sterling and Steven Gerrard step up and those players will be key for the team this season.
Pippo Inzaghi has gotten off to a rough start with his team and he is hoping that he can get things going for this match to at least end things on a positive not before the Serie A season. Last year the team had its issues and now Liverpool comes in as their next opponent and this matchup comes after Manchester United and Real Madrid played.
Liverpool comes in after winning against Olympiakos and Manchester City to start things off and while they wish the Man City win was in the EPL last season, they will take it for now. It's just the preseason, but Manchester United is taking the tournament seriously after getting their new manager in Louis Van Gaal and Liverpool is looking at the competition the same way. Milan has now lost both their matches to Man City and Olympiakos and they likely are finishing in the bottom of things, while Liverpool can advance to Miami.
Liverpool and the Greek side played a tight match and they also came back against Man City and that was big for the club as well. Milan comes in after losing bad in both matches and they have given up eight goals and they dropped the Olympiakos match with a 3-0 shutout and they lost 5-1 against Manchester City and now they are hoping to have a solid performance even if it ends in a defeat. Milan comes in with many changes and while there is nowhere to go but up, the team needs to start turning it around.
Liverpool and AC Milan are playing in this matchup on NBC and the game is live starting up after 6 and has the two teams looking to get a win and Liverpool is anticipating the start of the Premier League season.
