Andriy Shevchenko could join Chelsea in a coaching capacity, according to Dynamo Kiev executive director Rezo Chokhonelidze.
The Ukrainian legend ended his international career after his country's disappointing exit at the group stage. The 35-year-old is a free agent after his contract with Dynamo expired at the end of last season.
Shevchenko has said he will take his time before making a decision on his future, even hinting that retirement could be an option.
Chokhonelidze said his former player could move to Major League Soccer in US or join a club in the United Arab Emirates, while coaching at Stamford Bridge was also an option. "He is thinking, is evaluating with the whole family," the Dynamo executive director told reporters.
"He has offers from the United States and the United Arab Emirates, but could also do something with Chelsea's chairman -- his friend Roman Abramovich."
Shevchenko had said last month he would be open to any decision. "I have offers from clubs abroad and from Dynamo Kiev," he told reporters.
"I will maybe have a couple more years of playing soccer or maybe stop and become a coach.
"We will see what happens, but I want to stay in soccer because I love this game."
Meanwhile, Chelsea target Victor Moses' agent said he will do everything in his power to ensure a move for his client to Stamford Bridge is agreed upon.
Chelsea had an opening bid rejected by Wigan chairman Dave Whelan, with the chairman accusing Moses' agent Tony Finnigan of stirring for a move.
Finnigan, however, said he would do everything possible to get his client to Chelsea. "Providing Wigan can agree a fee with Chelsea, I will do all I can to make the move happen for Victor," Finnigan told Metro.
Whelan had earlier expressed his unwillingness to let go of Moses, who he hopes, under coach Roberto Martinez, will turn out to be an even better player.
Moses, who has just one year remaining on his current deal, has been offered a new contract by Wigan, but the 21-year-old is hoping for a move to Stamford Bridge, where owner Abramovich is trying to build a young team capable of playing eye-catching passing soccer.
Wigan have said they will need at least £12 million ($19 million) to even consider selling their striker, with Chelsea value Moses at around £8 million ($12.5 million).
