Liverpool has had a busy summer after the transfer of Luis Suarez to Barcelona and now the English Premier League runners up have been connected to Mario Balotelli, but those reports have been disputed by Brendan Rodgers and he said that the AC Milan star is not making a move to the Reds.
According to the Guardian and Pro Soccer Talk, Rodgers said that recent reports regarding the move of Balotelli to Liverpool were "categorically" not true and that he would not be joining the Reds. Reports from this summer had AC Milan taking offers for the superstar striker, but right now it appears that he will be staying with his team this season unless something drastic changes in the next few weeks. Last summer the move of Gareth Bale took quite a while before he went from Tottenham to Real Madrid and now something like that could happen again.
Balotelli is one of the most well-known and enigmatic players in the world and he showed off some of his skills this summer in the World Cup in Brazil, including on a nice goal against England in the group stage for Italy. Balotelli has had some issues with his effort in the past and some came out to say that again about him in the World Cup and while he may stay, he still could move and it would be one of only a number of major moves on the market this summer.
Liverpool had a fantastic season with Luis Suarez in the EPL last year and they nearly won the league title at the end before faltering down the stretch. Suarez had over 30 goals and basically won all the player of the year awards and now he is onto Barca after his biting incident at the World Cup while playing for Uruguay. The move with Suarez was rumored since last season, but once the biting incident happened his non-return to Liverpool was sealed and now he is into La Liga with Lionel Messi.
