Manchester United and Liverpool are playing in the Guinness International Champions Cup finals on Monday night and the match from Miami at Sun Life Stadium is on the Fox Sports 1 TV channel and the start time is 8 pm ET with a live stream on FSGO for the Red Devils and the Reds and they are looking to get the ICC trophy heading into the start of the Premier League season and both of these clubs will be glad to put past year behind them.
The matchup is on FOX and comes live from Miami and Manchester United has the chance to keep their strong play under Louis Van Gaal going, as they have been beating opponents with strong defense and smart play in the offensive zone. The club comes in after winning over Real Madrid and that match from Michigan Stadium had over 100,000 people and they took that match 3-1.
The ICC has been very successful since it started and now Man United will get the chance to play against a top team from their own league on Monday night. Man U is coming back after a tough season that saw them finish seventh on the EPL table, while Liverpool was in second but once could argue that the season was just as rough. Liverpool had a tough result with Man City at the end and then came as the runners up after coming oh so close to their first league title in years.
Van Gaal comes in as the manager of the Netherlands from the World Cup and he has been successful wherever he has been since starting at Ajax and now he has the chance to being this season back. David Moyes did not last the season and now players like Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie will be expected to step up. Van Gaal tried not to put too much on the Real Madrid win since that came without main players in the lineup, but he still said there was plenty to get out of that matchup.
Liverpool has been impressive in tight games so far and they are now into the finals after winning against AC Milan and that was another solid performance. Manchester United comes in after winning over Real Madrid and they also won against Inter Milan earlier in the tournament. The game will be on Fox Sports 1 and the Fox Sports Go Streaming website and starts up past 8 pm ET from Miami.
There were 100,000 in Michigan Stadium and over 50,000 tickets have been sold for this game and while Manchester United did not have a great year in 2014, they are still one of the most popular clubs in the world.
