The Boston Red Sox and St Louis Cardinals are playing live on the MLB schedule on Tuesday night and the matchup is live from MLB at Busch Stadium in a World Series rematch and the game is up at 8:15 pm ET and has the teams going in opposite directions, with the Red Sox selling at the trade deadline and the Cards buying, including from Boston.
The pitching matchup has Lance Lynn against Rubby De La Rosa and these two teams will be very familiar with each other, as John Lackey was dealt for Allen Craig and Joe Kelly and now the teams face off in STL. Boston is out of the race and the Cardinals are chasing in the central and in the wild card in the NL. Craig goes from being hot hotter in the World Series for the Cards to a being a Red Sox player and now he will play against his old team on the road and Kelly will be making his first start on Wednesday.
Lackey was traded along with Jon Lester and Jake Peavy and Craig comes in with just one hit for the Sox in his game with the team and the Sox come in as loser of 10 of the last 12. The Cardinals are looking to make the playoffs after going to the World Series, while the Sox are hoping this is just a one season abberation.
