Wimbledon 2012 Championship: Radwanska Will Play in Final, Serena Takes Centre Court

We already have our first finalist for the Ladies' Singles.

Agnieszka Radwanska (3) defeated Angelique Kerber in two straight sets on Thursday, 6-3, 6-4, qualifying for the Wimbledon Final.

Radwanska, who hails from Poland, will make her first ever trip to a Final in a Grand Slam tournament.

She played in two back-to-back Wimbledon Quarterfinals in 2008 and 2009. In 2011 and 2012 she made back-to-back Quarterfinals appearances in the Australian Open.

Radwanska has shown improvement from her last Wimbledon performance. In 2011, she had been eliminated from the tournament in the second round. Now this year she has a chance to win it all.

The key to her victory today was her efficiency. She did very well on her 1st serves and kept the unforced errors down to a minimum.

She converted 78 percent of her first serves compared to Kerber's 56 percent. Radwanska also only committed 6 unforced errors in comparison to Kerber's 14.

Radwanska will now await a competitor. Serena Williams (6) is currently matching up against Veronica Azarenka (2).

From the three remaining players, Williams is clearly the one with the most experience, but do not sleep on these younger raising stars.

Azarenka won the Australian Open this year and Radwanska has her eyes on the Wimbledon trophy as she seeks her first Grand Slam title.
