The Miami Dolphins are heading into the 2014 season with high expectations after just missing the playoffs last year and fantasy football owners have a number of solid options for the team this year, including Mike Wallace, Knowshon Moreno, Ryan Tannehill, Brian Hartline and Charles Clay, as Tannehill could be on the cusp of a breakout year and those players all could be beneficiaries of that.
The Dolphins have plenty of talent on offense and the team has a solid wide receiving corps that is led by Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline. Last season Wallace did not have his best year and that means he will be playing with a bit of a chip and he could be ready to put up some big numbers. The Dolphins got rid of Mike Sherman as offensive coordinator and now they have a new play caller and that could be a big boost for the team.
Last season Tannehill had a very solid year and put up good numbers with nearly 4,000 yards and 24 touchdowns and this year he could be even better. Tannehill needs to develop into a solid starting quarterback for the Dolphins and they have a ton invested in him and if Wallace plays up to his usual level, the team should be much better this season.
The team added Knowshon Moreno this offseason and he is coming off of his first 1,000 yard season and could be a big part of the offense this year. Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller did not get it done last season, combining for just six touchdowns last year and just over 1,000 yards and the addition of Moreno should help that.
Wallace had 73 catches last season for 930 yards and five touchdowns and he is expecting to have a better year than he did last season. Hartline had a great year with 76 catches for over 1,000 yards and he could be a big beneficiary of the new offense. Clay also had a strong season and he ended up with 69 catches and 759 yards with six touchdowns to lead the team.
