The New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans are playing live on the Week 2 NFL preseason schedule and the game is from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome at 8 pm and this is the second game for both teams and comes after NO won over the Rams and now Drew Brees and company will get to test things out on home turf and Brandin Cooks is one player to keep an eye on.
Drew Brees is coming back and looking to have another big season and this comes after he put up over 5,000 yards again last year with 39 touchdowns and that makes the Saints one of the most dangerous teams in the league. Losing Darren Sproles after the team traded him will be tough for Brees, but Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas have shown that they can be productive and if they can rush the ball a little bit, it will open up things even more for the offense.
The Saints have the best offense in the league apart from the Broncos and even that could be debatable and now the team has the chance to get another win in the preseason. The preseason doesn't mean much, but having Ingram get some solid work and rookie Brandin Cooks in the offense will be big. Brees has been healthy since coming to the Saints and if he gets hurt that would be a major issue and Cooks comes in after having an amazingly productive season with Oregon State and he had over 120 catches.
Having Jimmy Graham back on a big deal should also make a difference and he is one of the best players in the NFL. The team got 86 catches and 1215 yards from last season with 16 touchdowns and now he comes back even more motivated to prove he deserved that money. The Saints have games against the Colts and the Ravens coming up for the rest of the preseason, while they will start the season with two games on the road.
New Orleans opens up with a road game against an NFC South rival with the Atlanta Falcons and then the team will visit Johnny Manziel and the Browns in Week 2. The team opens the home dome in Week 3 against the Vikings and then they will have their first national matchup with the Dallas Cowboys and that will be on NBC at 8:30 pm for Sunday night football.
The Saints have their bye in Week 6 and that comes after playing against the Buccaneers and then the team comes out of that against the Detroit Lions. The team then plays against the Packers and has a very tough stretch with the Panthers, San Francisco 49ers and Bengals, all playoff teams from last season. The Saints should be back in the playoffs this year and expect Brees to have a massive season.
