Real Madrid and Cordoba are playing live on the La Liga BBVA schedule on Monday and the match is live from Santiago Bernabéu at 2 pm ET and streaming online from beIN Sport and the match has Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale looking for a win as Spanish Primera League season keeps going and this is the opener for Real Madrid.
The team comes in after winning the UEFA Super Cup match against Sevilla after taking the Champions League last season and they also fell to Atletico Madrid after playing two legs in the Spanish Super Cup. The team had a 1-1 draw before losing 1-0 and now they come in to start things up again and they have Cordoba and that comes ahead of some tough matches to start the season, including against Real Sociedad and again against Atletico after their matchup earlier in the summer.
The team opens up with this match and now Real Madrid and Cordoba are both looking to win and Real is hoping to match what Barca has done, as they are one of the early leaders on the table. The team scored three goals in their first match and won and that came after the team signed Luis Suarez in the summer, although he cannot yet play with the team after his suspension at the World Cup for biting. Ronaldo is coming in after having a great year last season and the team is defending Champions League champs and they also are looking to get back into the La Liga title mix after losing out last season.
Having James join Ronaldo and Gareth Bale is an embarrassment of riches and it comes after he broke out in a big way at the World Cup in Brazil. Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos are looking to get things going and Kroos comes in after signing with the team this summer and they also have Luka Modric and the team is looking to beat promoted Cordoba to start things on the right foot. Ronaldo should be in the starting lineup and if he is not, he likely will be in the match later on.
Ronaldo came off the bench in the last match, which was the defeat in the Super Cup and he may need a little more training to get fully ready to go. Ronaldo is dealing with a slight back injury that may keep him from going full blast, but having James and Bale in the lineup should help that immensely.
