DC United and NY Red Bulls are playing live on the MLS schedule on Sunday and the game is from RFK Memorial Stadium between these east teams and the game starts at 2:30 pm ET and is live on TV from the NBC Sports Network and live online streaming from the NBCSN Live Extra website as Thierry Henry and company make a road trip as they are trying to get back in playoff position in the standings.
These two rivals are playing late in the season and they each are making a playoff push and the Red Bulls are right there in the standings at sixth place and they are looking to get another win after their last time out on the pitch in league play. The team won against Montreal at home and now they have the chance to keep things going, but they have a tough test with United now on Sunday. DC comes in after losing away at the LA Galaxy and after playing against NY they have a tough matchup with the Vancouver Whitecaps and that is another trip out west.
The Eastern conference still has DC United on top and leading Sporting Kansas City and they are holding a one point lead over the team, while those two are ahead by a wide margin. The team have a big lead on the New England Revolution and they are third in the standings in the east, while Toronto FC and the Columbus Crew are in playoff position. The Red Bulls are just a couple points back and they are close with the Philadelphia Union as well as the Chicago Fire and Houston Dynamo.
This is the second time that the teams are playing and the first game was a win for DC at home and now they have another game. The teams have played quite a bit over the years and DC comes in after their two game winning streak ended against the Galaxy and they allowed four goals in that game on the road, but they were able to stay atop the MLS standings in the east.
