Jul 08, 2012 10:44 AM EDT

Andy Murray wins the first set 6-4 of the Men's Wimledon final, breaking Roger Federer's serve twice, and Federer breaking Murray's serve once.

Murray and Roger Federer are currently taking Centre Court and the 2012 Wimbledon champion will be determined soon.

There is more at stake however.

Both players have made history in their own respects.

Murray is the first British to make it to the Wimbledon Final since 1938, when Bunny Austin made it and lost to American Don Budge.

Federer enters his record 8th Wimbledon Final.

Despite their record setting performances, both players have unfinished business.

A whole nation is backing up a potential hero. Murray could be the first British Wimbledon champion since Fred Perry took the title in 1936.

With a win, Federer can tie Pete Sampras' seven Wimbledon titles.

Half way through the tour, it looked like Federer's age was catching up to him. His back was giving him issues and his health looked to be a question heading into the quarterfinals.

Federer silenced critics with his dominant start over Mikhail Youzhny and not to mention he eliminated the No. 1 ranked Novak Djokovic in the Semis.

Murray has been a bit sporadic thoughoutt the tourney, but he has pulled out victory after victory behind his ability to serve. He has used aces to help him win sets after trailing.

By 9 a.m. in London time, they have advised people not to make their way to Wimbledon because they have reached capacity.

Click here as you can catch ESPN's live stream in this link. The championship will being at 2 p.m. London time and 9 a.m EDT.

It will be a historical match to remember.
