The New Orleans Hornets have made some noise on Sunday after acquiring three-point shooting assassin, Ryan Anderson, from the Orlando Magic.

The Hornets now get a dynamic outside shooter that can help balance the offensive attack rookie, No. 1 pick, Anthony Davis will provide down low.

Last season, Anderson hit the most three-pointers in the NBA. He knocked down 166 from beyond the arc, while shooting 43.9 percent

He also averaged 16.1 points and 7.7 rebounds a game. The Magic decided not to match the 4-year, $36 million contact the Hornets offered Anderson and chose to let go of the forward.

In return, the Magic receive Mexican center, Gustavo Ayon, who is 6' 10" and weighs 250 pounds.

With the move, the Magic clear up cap space and have a big man in the center position, just in case Dwight Howard finds himself playing in another city.

Howard has been in all sorts of rumors spanning from playing for the Brooklyn Nets to teaming up with Kobe Bryant out in Los Angeles.

Although Ayon is no Dwight Howard, he can provide some security down low for the Magic.

Also, by letting Anderson go, the Magic will have the ability to make moves as they are playing in an improved Easter Conference.

Anderson and the Hornets will make agreement official on Wednesday, July 11th, when teams are able to sign free agents for the 2012-2013 season.
