ESPN College GameDay is live early on Saturday from Eugene in Oregon for the Ducks game against the Michigan State Spartans at Autzen Stadium and the show has the crew up at 9 am ET and 6 am PT on ESPN and streaming live on WatchESPN as Chris Fowler, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit kick off the college football weekend as Connor Cook and Marcus Mariota face in the quarterback matchup.
Oregon and Michigan State will be playing on FOX later on Saturday and this starts up at 6 am PT as the boys get going in Oregon and this has the potential to be one of the best early games of the season. Oregon comes in after destroying South Dakota and Michigan State won against Jacksonville State Gamecocks and this is a top 10 matchup of strong national title contenders for the playoffs.
Oregon has this tough game sandwiched between South Dakota and the Wyoming Cowboys and then things will pick up on the road with Wahsington State as the Pac-12 schedule opens. The Ducks come into the game as one of the favorites for the national title and this game could be a playoff preview and this is the best matchup of the early part of the season and Mariota has been fantastic the past couple years and he could be a top pick after all he put up last season and now he is poised to have another big year.
The team has a number of games against ranked teams and they matchup with Stanford and UCLA along with this game against MSU. The team ends the season with two of three on the road and that includes games against Utah and Oregon State. The team has UCLA on the road and the Stanford game will be in Autzen and that could be very high scoring with Mariota and Brett Hundley both coming in as Heisman candidates.
