The NY Giants are playing on Monday night football in Week 1 and the game against the Lions has a number of fantasy football start options, with Rashad Jennings, Rueben Randle, Victor Cruz, Andre Williams, Larry Donnell and Jerrel Jernigan options for Eli Manning and this comes as Odell Beckham is on the bench with a hamstring injury.
The Giants need a bounce back season from Manning after he tossed 27 interceptions last season and now with Beckham out, the Giants need those players to step up. Jennings could be a top starter for the team against the Lions, while Cruz should be the top receiver in the game for the G-Men. The Giants need a good performance here and even if they lose, a strong offensive game could be huge for the season this year.
Jennings comes in after leading the Raiders in rushing and in PPR leagues he could be very valuable. Andre Williams should step up and this comes as David Wilson had to retire and now he moves up the depth chart. Jennings had 36 catches and 733 yards last season and look out for him as the top player for the Giants on Monday night.
Last season Manning had a tough year with 3,818 yards and 19 touchdowns with 27 interceptions and chances are he will not be that bad this season. In fact, Eli could be a sleeper option later in drafts, as many will pass him up after the year he had. Manning should bounce back and if Beckham is healthy and the running game consistent, the offense should be much better. Victor Cruz just missed having a 1,000 yard season by just two yards and he made 73 catches and now he is expecting to have another big year for the Giants.
