The Monday Night Football season starts live for Week 1 as the Lions and Giants play in Detroit and New York visits for the game that will be live on TV from ESPN and on radio live from ESPN Radio and online from the WatchESPN website past 7 pm ET as Eli Manning and Matthew Stafford face off at Ford Field and both teams will be trying to make the playoffs in 2014 after missing last season.
The Giants come into this game looking to have a huge bounce back year after starting 0-6 last season and that was a long month and half to go without a win. Eli Manning and company feel that they are much better this season and adding names like Rashad Jennings and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and they have a number of free agents looking to step up. Manning had 27 interceptions last season and nearly just as many bad plays behind a terrible offensive line and the Giants are looking to protect their QB this year.
The team brought in a new offensive coordinator and now they need Manning and company to step things up and this gives the Giants a chance to show off on the national stage.
