What is a four-year $58 million deal to the Indiana Pacers?
Nothing and everything at the same time.
Reports have the Pacers matching the Portland Trail Blazer's offer for center Roy Hibbert.
According to ESPN's @Sportscenter, they tweeted that the deal will go down. The Pacers will now wait for Wednesday, when teams are able to officially ink in free agent signings.
The deal comes at a great team since losing Hibbert would have been a downgrade to their 2013 playoff hopes.
Hibbert was an integral part in the Pacers' 3rd place finish in the NBA Eastern Conference standings. They finished 2012 with a 42-24 record and pushed the Miami Heat to six games in the second round of the Conference Playoffs.
During the 2012 season, in 65 games started, Hibbert averaged 12.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2 blocks a game. They were all career highs for the center.
He is only 25-years-old and has a lot of basketball left ahead of him as he enters his 5th season in the league.
The Pacers have shown they are willing to pay to win after also extending their guard, George Hill, to a five-year contract earlier in the summer.
Hill only averaged around 9 points a game, but he is one of the, possible, future stars in the NBA.
