Paul George Tweets About Ray Rice and Janay Palmer Punch: Pacers Star Apologizes For Twitter Posts

Twitter can be a gift and a curse and Paul George got caught up in things on Thursday, tweeting that Ray Rice should be allowed to play and that if Janay Palmer is not mad, everyone else should not be before quickly deleting those Tweets and then coming out to apologize after making those statements, saying he does not support any type of domestic violence.

According to SI.com and Bleacher Report, George tweeted out a number of comments about the situation, staying that Ray Rice should "stay strong" and that if Janay "ain't trippin, then I aint trippin" implying that if she is not mad, everyone else should just let it go. George is a great player, but clearly he is wrong in this situation and now he has come out to apologize for those comments.

Some on Twitter quickly pointed out that George is someone who once tried to persuade a woman to have an abortion by paying her $1 million dollars. George was in the spotlight earlier this summer for snapping his leg while playing with Team USA and now he will be out for the season. George may have gotten caught up in the moment and while he did apologize, his tweets basically said, it's cool for Ray Rice to knock out his wife as long as she wasn't mad afterwards and that the media should relax.

George apologized, writing: "Let me apologize to the women and to the VICTIMS of domestic violence people my intent was not to downplay the situation.."
