The NY Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays are playing live on the MLB schedule on Thursday night and the game is live from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx starting past 7:05 pm ET and Alex Cobb and Michael Pineda will be on the mound for the AL East matchup and this is huge for the Yanks if they have any hopes of staying in the wild card race.
Amazingly the Yankees are battling with the Mets for the best record in NY and they likely will miss the wild card, as they have too many teams to get past. The Yankees are coming in after a nice victory against the Rays and they need to find ways to keep winning as the schedule comes down to the end. The Yankees are way out of the AL East race and now their only hope is the wild card and they need some teams to lose.
