The MLB Postseason schedule for 2014 has been released and the start date for the playoffs is September 30 and that will lead into the American League and National League division series before the championship series and the earliest date the World Series will start is Tuesday, October 21 in the AL ballpark and if it goes to seven games, the WS will end on October 29.
The wild card race in both leagues are getting very tight and in the American League the one game playoff will be on Tuesday, September 30 and will be on TBS for TV coverage. The National League wild card game has the coverage from ESPN and will be on Wednesday, October 1 and that will lead into the American League division series next on the schedule.
The division series in the American League starts up on October 2 for the Thursday matchup and the coverage from TV will be on TBS for this series. The series can last through October 8 if it goes seven, while the National League division series starts on Friday, October 3. The coverage for the NLDS is on Fox Sports 1 and that will begin on Friday and could finish on October 9.
The American League championship series will begin on October 10 on a Friday and could last through Saturday of the following week on October 18. The National League championship series starts on Saturday, October 11 and could end on Sunday October 19, while the World Series start date is Tueday, October 21. The final game could be played on Wednesday, October 29.
