NY Giants Rumors: Odell Beckham Jr to Return Week 3 After Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle Struggle? Eli Manning Pushes Rashad Jennings, Andre Williams Run Game

The New York Giants are still searching for answers. Through an entire preseason and two regular-season games, the offense has yet to look adjusted and in-sync. New coordinator Ben McAdoo was expected to bring a high-flying attack to New York, but it appears Eli Manning and company still do not have a grasp on things resulting in an 0-2 start to the year. After another disappointing showing against the Arizona Cardinals, what will it take for the team to get things sorted out?

Cruz thought he had the answer to the Giants' offensive issues, give him the ball more. In the first game against Detroit, Manning targeted his leading receiver six times resulting in two catches for 24 yards. The wide receiver said that in order for the offense to be successful, they needed to put the ball in his hands. So they did and he dropped it. Cruz got 10 targets from Manning. He caught five and dropped two at costly moments in the game.

"Any drop is disappointing - regardless of any timing or matter,'' Cruz said, via the New York Post. "They were calling my number a bunch and we came through on a couple and there were a couple I wish I could have [back].' Any drop hurts - especially in that juncture of the game, because you know that you can be the catalyst to bring this team up, to bring the energy level up. I definitely put it on myself on some of those drops.''

Rashad Jennings and Rueben Randle failed to do much for the offense as well so the blame cannot fall strictly on Cruz, although his comments from the previous week do not help that. Could the return of Odell Beckham Jr help? The Giants first-round draft pick has been out since injuring his hamstring in training camp. According to the New York Post, he could see a Week 3 return, but that might be pushing it. The Giants predicted he would miss the first three weeks of the season, but after being spotted catching punts and doing light work on the field has given some hope. The Giants could use another offensive weapon, but rushing the rookie back could do long-term harm.
