2014 MLB Postseason Schedule: Playoffs Start Date and TV Channel Coverage For Wild Card and World Series Games

The 2014 MLB postseason schedule starts up with the wild card matchups at the end of September and the playoffs will continue after that with the division series, championship series and the World Series and TV coverage comes from the FOX channel as well as Fox Sports 1, ESPN and TBS through the postseason and the earliest start date for the WS is October 21.

The Wild Card races are getting close with just a couple weeks left of the season and the games are scheduled for the end of September and beginning of October. The AL Wild Card game is on TBS and will be at the stadium of the number one wild card team, while the NL game will be on Wednesday, October 1 and that game will be on ESPN. The one game playoff matchups will start the postseason and then will lead into the division series matchups.

The National League division series starts on Friday October 3 and has Game 1 on Fox Sports 1 and the rest of the series will be on FS1 or the MLB Network. The latest date that the series can finish is on October 9. The American League division series will be on TV from TBS and opens on October 2 and the latest date that can end is at October 8 if it goes five.

The NL Championship series starts up on October 11 and the TV coverage is from FOx and Fox Sports 1. The AL Championship Series opens up on October 10 and the TV coverage will be handled by TBS. The World Series is on FOX this season and the first game will be Tuesday October 21 and the latest day it can end is Wednesday, October 29.
