The Thursday Night Football TV Schedule for Week 3 starts up with the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers game at the Georgia Dome and the matchup starts at 8:25 pm ET on the CBS channel and the NFL Network as Matt Ryan hosts Josh McCown and the live stream coverage is online from NFL.com as the NFC divisional game goes down with the Bucs and the Falcs for TNF.
The Falcons come into the game after a tough loss to the Bengals and now they have the chance to turn things around against a divisional opponent. This matchup will kick off the week for the NFL and they are probably thrilled to have games with all that is going on and after the scheduling gods had the Ravens on last week during the Ray Rice scandal, this time it's two teams just looking to play ball and not hit their fiancé in the face.
The Falcons won over the Saints in exciting fashion in Week 1 to get the season started off right and now they are trying to bounce back after a crushing road loss to the Bengals. Cincy was better all over the field and they did it without AJ Green in the lineup and now Matt Ryan will try and bounce back after he had a down game. Ryan was fantastic in the matchup with the Saints, but the Falcons couldn't get anything going against the Bengals and now they are looking to right the ship at home with the Bucs. The team knows it's a divisional game and after winning one they will be looking for their second at home.
The team still ranked first in passing yards per game after the loss against the Bengals and Ryan will try and keep that up and he should have Roddy White and Julio Jones healthy for the game. The team needs both of those players to play well after Jones missed last season and White was hobbled and that was one reason why they went 4-12. The team is benefitting from the loss of Doug Martin, as he will be out for the matchup most likely and if he plays, he will be limited.
The Falcons have a tough schedule this season and they are about to go on a tough stretch of three games on the road in four weeks, with the Bears as the lone home game. The team has the Vikings minus Adrian Peterson and then the Giants before matching up with Chicago and then they hit the road against the Ravens. The team has the two teams in three weeks that are down star running backs and then they will play against the Lions in Week 8.
The team comes out of the bye with two tough games and those are divisional matchups on the road with the Bucs and the Panthers. The team then has the Browns and the Cardinals before a huge matchup on Monday night football with the Packers.
