St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs Live Radio Stream: Watch Online MLB Game Streaming

Sep 22, 2014 07:53 PM EDT

The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs are playing live on the MLB schedule on Monday and the matchup from Wrigley Field is an NL Central game starting up at 8:05 pm ET and has Adam Wainwright against Travis Wood and the Cards come in after clinching a playoff spot and they are looking to lock up their division with the final week of the season here.

Wainwright is having another strong season and St. Louis has shown it's how you finish and not how you start, as they did not take over the NL Central lead until late in the summer. The team got hot while the Brewers went cold and they now are leading the division and it looks like they will get it barring some collapse over the final week.

Wainwright has Cy Young numbers, but it's very unlikely that anyone defeats Clayton Kershaw this season, as he has a sub 2.00 ERA this year. Wainwright takes the mound with 19 wins and a sub 2.50 ERA and now the Cards are already in the playoffs after clinching a spot over the weekend. The Giants and the Pirates are in the wild card spots and the Dodgers are in the AL west lead, while the Nationals are already into the playoffs as the AL East champs.

The Cardinals come into the game after a loss against the Reds and they have this series against the Cubs before finishing out the year trying to take the division title. The team has not been scoring runs, but the pitching has been there and they have the experience to get into the playoffs and make some noise and they have been in this position before after making it last year and a few years ago.
