The UCLA Bruins and Arizona State Sun Devils are playing live on the FOX Sports 1 college football schedule on Thursday night and the Pac-12 matchup has the two teams in the top 25 coming in and the game starts at 10 pm ET on TV and streaming live from the Fox Sports Go website and the starters Brett Hundley and Taylor Kelly both come in injured for the conference game.
The Bruins are ranked at 11 and the Sun Devils are in at number 15 and that makes this a very good matchup on both sides. The teams can score with the best of them and many have said that Tempe is one of the hardest places in college football to play and that the home field advantage is one of the most underrated in the nation. Hundley comes into the game a bit banged up and there is a chance he will not start the matchup, while Kelly is confirmed to be out for the game.
The Bruins come into the game after a win against Texas and that was a close matchup that saw Brett Hundley get nicked up. The Bruins are playing against Utah next and the matchup with ASU kicks off the Pac-12 slate and both of these teams come into the matchup undefeated at 3-0. UCLA is looking to be an offensive power this season and ASU has the talent to do that as well and this stretch will likely dictate what happens with the Bruins.
The Bruins have a three game stretch on the road in five weeks and after playing against Utah they have their biggest matchup of the season with Oregon. The Ducks will visit Los Angeles, but they are ranked number two in the nation right now and the offense has been humming along with Marcus Mariota like usual. After playing against Oregon the team has another tough stretch with three games on the road in four weeks.
The team has Cal and Colorado before playing at home against Arizona and then the team has Wahsington on the road. The Bruins have the chance to be a playoff contender and Hundley comes in as a Heisman candidate and he could be the key for UCLA this year. The team has USC and Stanford to end the season at home and that is a huge benefit and challenge for the Bruins, as they will have the chance to impress right down to the end of the season.
