The Texas A&M Aggies are getting into the meat of their SEC schedule as they prepare to face off against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday. The Aggies are preparing for a tough SEC West stint as they have games against Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Alabama all coming up in consecutive Saturdays. Kenny Hill has been the star of the season so far and he faces a tough challenge against a Razorbacks team surprising many.
Texas A&M is 4-0 for the first time since 2006 and they have won each game by at least 24 points. Now, some of those wins are more impressive than others, but they are wins none the less. This is the game Texas A&M must prove themselves as they face off against a conference opponent. They opened with a very strong 52-28 win over South Carolina and then followed that up with wins over Lamar, Rice and SMU who all have losing records.
Against SMU, the Aggies put up 633 yards of total offense, causing June Jones to resign at the end. Hill scored five consecutive possessions as Trey Williams scored twice while Jeremy Tabuyo also had a score. The team also looked strong on defense, putting up eight sacks while they ran the score to 31-0 at the end of the half. Hill has 1,359 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season so far.
Arkansas looks to be turning things around this season. They are looking to end a 13-game SEC losing streak by beating the Aggies. The team has not won an SEC game since beating Kentucky in 2012. The Razorbacks rank second in scoring as the average 48.8 points per game. The Aggies are ranked first in that category. The Razorbacks like their dynamic duo of Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams on the ground. Collins has 490 yards while Williams has 391 yards on the season. They could challenge the Aggies' defense.
