Buffalo Bills Rumors: CJ Spiller, Sammy Watkins, Fred Jackson Best Fantasy Options With Kyle Orton Starting Quarterback Week 5

The Buffalo Bills have Kyle Orton as the starting quarterback for EJ Manuel and now fantasy football owners are wondering whether he is a good pickup and heading into Week 5 and names like CJ Spiller, Sammy Watkins, Fred Jackson, Mike Williams and Robert Woods could be in line for some solid performances if he plays well against the Detroit Lions, one of the best defenses in the league.

Orton comes in after being the backup for Tony Romo and now he takes over for Manuel, who had not been playing well over the past two weeks. This doesn't mean that Manuel is done, but the team had to make a move based on the way they were playing. Fantasy owners with Manuel are upset, but players with Watkins and other receivers could be pleased, as Manuel was not putting up great numbers. Orton is not the athlete that Manuel is, but he is a strong veteran and a classic pocket passer and that could be good news for the Bills.

The team is about to play the Lions and Detroit comes in playing well on D, but they have the chance to bounce back and surprise the team and Orton is the man under center now. The Bills have dynamic players on offense like Watkins, Spiller and Jackson and that all should make things easier for Orton. Fantasy owners should look at Orton in deeper leagues, but it's likely there are better options out there. Spiller and Jackson are a great one two punch and Orton has one of the most dynamic receivers in the league in Watkins.

Spiller comes into the week after rushing for 60 yards against the Texans and he also had three catches in the game. Spiller had more touches than Jackson in the game and going forward that is what's expected from the Bills. Spiller has not had a breakout game on the ground, although he did have a kick return earlier in the season and Orton getting in could help him out. Spiller had 927 yards last season and he has over 200 yards rushing this season and has not yet scored a TD.

Watkins has 17 catches for nearly 200 yards and two TDs this season and adding Orton to the mix could be huge for the rookie. Orton has tons of experience and he has also played in cold weather while with the Broncos, meaning the harsh Buffalo winter won't be a major issue for him. Watkins has a tough matchup coming up, but with his speed and skills he could have a big game.

The Buffalo Bills are 2-2 and they have some very solid fantasy football options for Week 5, including Sammy Watkins, Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, Robert Woods, Mike Williams and Scott Chandler as starter picks, but fantasy owners should keep an eye on Watkins, as he is a bit banged up, although he is expected to play against the Lions.
