Monday Night Football TV Schedule: Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins Start Time and Channel Week 5 Game

Oct 06, 2014 03:41 PM EDT

The Monday night football schedule in Week 5 has the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins and the TV start time for the game is 8:30 pm ET on the ESPN channel and the matchup is streaming online from WatchESPN at FedEx Field as the Super Bowl champions finish the week against the struggling team from the nation's capital for MNF.

The Seahawks come into the game at 2-1 on the season after losing to the San Diego Chargers earlier in the year and they are looking to match the Niners and the Cardinals with three wins. The Seahawks are favored in this game despite having to travel across the country and they also will not have to face Robert Griffin III. These two teams played two years ago in the playoffs and that matchup from this very field can be traced back to the moment that brought Washington to where they are now. Griffin was injured in that game and he has not been able to stay healthy since, while Wilson has started every game since then and has won a Super Bowl with Seattle.

The Seahawks won over Denver into the bye week and now they have a tough schedule coming up. The team has three road games in four weeks coming up and that includes the Rams and the Panthers after playing against the Dallas Cowboys. The team has two home games after that against the Raiders and Cowboys and then the team has a tough trip against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead.

The Seahawks started the season with three very tough games before getting the bye week and that includes three straight games against playoff teams from last season. The team won over the Packers and the Broncos and lost to the Chargers and now they will try and get things going with a win against the Redskins. The schedule is tough for the entire season and the back stretch is deadly, even with the Seahawks favored to repeat as Champs.

The team has another stretch of three road games in four weeks with the Chiefs, 49ers and Eagles away, while they play against the Cardinals at home. The team has a mixture stretch of that as well, as those two road games against the Eagles and Niners also form another four game stretch with three away games, with the home game being the second matchup with the Niners. The team ends with the Cardinals and the Rams in the division and they have the toughest set in the league in the NFC West this season.

The Redskins come into the game after losing to the Giants last week on Thursday and they are 1-3 on the season and heading into a game against the Cardinals. Heading into the bye week the team has three games on the road in four weeks, including the Cards, Titans, Cowboys and Vikings before getting a week off.
