The Houston Texans have been proving some people wrong this season and this game can really help that effort. The Texans have a chance at overtaking the top spot in the AFC South with a win over the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football. However, Houston has lost four straight games to the Colts as history might not be in their favor this week.
Houston is hopeful to have Arian Foster in the lineup after the running back rushed for over 100 yards for the third time this season when he finished with 157 yards against the Dallas Cowboys in an overtime loss. Foster currently ranks second the NFL with 101.0 rushing yards per game. However, he has been dealing with a hamstring injury that might keep him off the field for the matchup against the Colts. If he cannot play, Alfred Blue will take his spot as the starting running back. He has just 143 yards on the season off 39 carries.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis loves playing Houston and loves playing them on the road even more. The Colts are 20-4 in this season and have won seven Thursday night games on the road in Houston. The Colts have found their strive, looking for their fourth straight win after beating the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens. Their defense is playing a big part in the effort, giving up just 819 yards in that win streak while recording a turnover and sack in each game.
Andrew Luck is looking strong as he leads the NFL with 1,617 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season. However, he has an issue with ball security, throwing six interceptions to date, two of those coming against the Ravens. The wide receivers will play a big role in this game. Reggie Wayne has benefitted from Luck's success, putting up six touchdowns while averaging 104.1 yards per game on Thursday nights. Meanwhile, Andre Johnson has yet to put up 100 yards in a game this season thanks to inconsistent play from Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Houston quarterback will need to step things up if Houston is going to break their struggling play against Indianapolis.
