The Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings are playing on the NBA preseason schedule on Saturday night and the game is live from Shanghai in China from Mercedes-Benz Arena at 1 am ET on TV from NBATV and the game is the first between these teams on this tour ahead of the 2014 season and stars like Deron Williams, Robin Lopez and DeMarcus Cousins will be in action.
The Nets come into the game after a win against Maccabi Tel Aviv and they will play against the Kings in another matchup on Wednesday while on the trip and they are 1-0 this preseason. The Kings are 1-1 and the second matchup will be from the MasterCard Center and this season the Nets have a new head coach in Lionel Hollins after Jason Kidd left. The Nets have high expectations for the season with Hollins coming in and Robin Lopez coming back from and injury and Williams is coming back after getting ankle surgery.
Lopez led the team with 20 points in the last game and the tea, has expectations for Joe Johnson and Teletovic as primary options and they could be a factor in the division again. The Nets won over the Raptors in the playoffs last season in the first round and now they come in looking to win the division and the Knicks, Raptors and Nets all look like potential options to do it.
The Kings come in after a win against the Raptors and that saw Cousins lead the way with 19 points and they will play the Nets again on Wednesday. The Kings are in the middle of rebuilding and they have high expectations for Cousins and newly drafted guard Nik Stauskas, who is coming out of Michigan after a strong college career.
The Nets come into the game with five preseason matchups on the schedule and they play Sacramento twice before a matchup with the Boston Celtics. The team finishes with Philadelphia and Boston before opening up the regular season.
