Manchester United Transfer News: Dimitar Berbatov Reveals Exit Plan

Manchester United outcast Dimitar Berbatov has admitted it is time for him to move on from the club "I love."

Berbatov has found himself well down the pecking order in the striking department in the past year, with Sir Alex Ferguson preferring Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez to the Bulgarian.

Writing on his official Facebook page, Berbatov voiced his frustrations, and despite admitting his love for United, admitted it is time for him to leave. "The truth is, I love this club, but I am not going to be useful to anyone if I am not playing," he wrote. "And I want to play, I want to help.

"But for unknown reasons it's not going to happen, or my chances will be limited, so it's better for everyone if we say goodbye.

"If not, I am professional and I will keep doing everything I can to help my team and my team-mates, whenever I have opportunity to do so."

Reports have suggested United are asking for £10 million ($15.5 million) from potential suitors of the 31-year-old, who has just one year remaining on his deal. Berbatov aimed to clear the speculation up by saying, he was told by Ferguson the figure is only half that amount. "Because I am tired of speculation, I am telling you this.

"I read the papers and I see they say 10 million pounds is my price. I go and talk with Sir Alex, and he says to me 5 million. So who is telling the truth, what do you think??"

Berbatov has been linked with a move to Germany, Turkey and Spain with La Liga club Malaga looking like the frontrunners for the Bulgarian's signature, although Ferguson recently revealed the club had not received any official bid for their player.
