The NY Jets and New England Patriots are playing live on the Thursday Night Football NFL schedule for Week 7 and the matchup from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro is an AFC East divisional game and it will be streaming live from NFL.com as Tom Brady matches up with Geno Smith and Rex Ryan as New York tries to end a long losing streak against the Pats.
The Jets have been looking terrible this season and the Patriots are finally starting to get into a groove and that could spell disaster for NY. The Patriots have Tom Brady coming in after his best game of the season against the Bills and he was well over 300 yards and also had four touchdowns. Brandon LaFell and Brady are getting into a rhythm and LaFell could be the big man on Thursday, as he is coming off of a two TD performance and has been playing well for the Patriots.
The Patriots come into the game after Brady passed for 361 yards and four touchdowns against the Bills and now the team has the chance to win two division games in a row. The team opened with a loss against the Dolphins and now they have a stretch of two division games with the Bills and Jets. The team took care of the Bills and now they play the Jets and that starts a run of three straight home games and that could give the Pats a nice lead in the division.
The Patriots have the Chicago Bears and the Denver Broncos next on the schedule and those are two huge games. Peyton Manning and the Pats will matchup in a couple weeks and that will be the game of the week as it always is when those two play. The teams played last season as well and now the Patriots are looking to get into form heading into their bye. The Pats play against the Colts on the road cooing out of the bye week and that will be a rematch of the playoffs with Andrew Luck and the matchup is on Sunday night football for a national game.
The Patriots have a tough stretch after that and it starts three games on the road in four weeks and three of those are playoff teams. The Lions are playing as good as a payoff team this season and they have the Colts on the road and the Lions at home before two matchups away with Green Bay and the Chargers next. The Patriots back end schedule is tough too and they have three straight division games at the end.
The team opens the final three weeks with a home game against Miami and that will be a chance for revenge after losing in Week 1. The team ends with the Jets on the road and then the Bills at home and by then the division could be sealed up like it usually is.
