Oakland Raiders Rumors: Derek Carr Starter As James Jones, Darren McFadden, Andre Holmes Fantasy Football Options

The Oakland Raiders are still winless, but the team has some solid fantasy football options into Week 8, as Derek Carr, James Jones, Darren McFadden, Andre Holmes and Mychal Rivera have all been solid and they have the chance to keep doing so as the season wears on, even with the team still without a win.

Carr was injured and due to the by the team had in Week 5, Carr had time to heal up and it meant that he started in Week 6 over Matt Schaub and he also started this past week. Carr being back is good news for fantasy owners of the quarterback and for players with James Jones, Darren McFadden, Maurice Jones-Drew and Mychal Rivera on their teams, as those players will benefit from having him under center.

According to Pro Football Talk, Carr was able to bounce back for Week 6 after the bye week and this came after he sprained his knee and ankle in the loss to the Miami Dolphins in London. Matt Schaub was not with the team at that game or the week before while dealing with a family situation and if Carr couldn't have started start, it would have been Schaub or Matt McGloin under center for the next game. Maurice Jones-Drew has returned after an injury and for fantasy football owners he is a solid start option moving forward along with Darren McFadden and James Jones, who has been the best fantasy players for the Raiders.

Carr said he plans on playing going forward barring any setbacks and that is good news for the Raiders, as they have not won a game this season and now are looking to avoid a 0-7 start. The team had high expectations coming into the year, but now they have fired their head coach and players like Maurice Jones-Drew and Justin Tuck have not turned the team around as expected. Fantasy owners are hoping for more from Drew and Darren McFadden and this week they have a decent matchup, but they are not playing very well and the next one will not be an easy game.
