The final piece of the puzzle has been added by the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday morning.
The Nets have reached an accord with power forward Kris Humphries. They agreed on a two-year $24 million deal that will keep the 27-year-old in Brooklyn.
After a few weeks of hearing his name mentioned in Dwight Howard trade rumors, Humphries can now relax knowing he has a secure job with the Nets.
He will be a part of the dynamic team the Nets have put together as they set out to inaguarate their first season in Brooklyn.
Humphries, who has eight years in the league had a big 2012 campaign as he averaged career-highs in both scoring and rebounding. Humphries had scored close to 114 points a game and averaged 11 rebounds a game.
For a player like Humphries those are great numbers.
He is not the guy you trust to hit the game winning shot or expect to defend an opposing team's player, but he great at doing cleaning up the boards. If anything, he is a great player to have on a fantasy basketball team.
Humphries will play along side Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Gerard Wallace and Brook Lopez in 2013.
On paper the team looks like they can be lethal. Lopez and Humphries grab boards. Williams, Johnson and Lopez can score. Wallace is a veteran that can still play basketball and can be considered a leader in the starting five.
