Tottenham has pulled two draws in their matches coming into this game and they are looking to knock off Asteras, who has four points to lead the group. Asteras is on top of the standings and the Spurs are looking to get things closer now and a win here would be big, especially after the tough defeat against Manchester city. Tottenham lost 4-1 on Saturday against Man City and now they will try and bounce back in the Europa League.
Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen came off the bench for the team in the last game away against Man City and he could be in the starting lineup. While Vertonghen has been linked to moves, he will be needed by the Spurs and Pochettino said he is one of the key players for the team moving forward. Nabil Bentaleb is out after missing the trip to the Etihad over the weekend and he will miss time and right-back Kyle Walker also is not ready to go and the team will need to pull together for this matchup to get things going in the right direction.
This year the Europa League has a big prize, as the winners of the tournament will make it into the Champions League and that is a huge thing to chase for some teams. Tottenham last won in the Premier League against Southampton at home and that came after a draw with Arsenal and that was away at the Emirates and that was a big win for the team. The Spurs also drew against Sunderland after opening the season with a tough home loss to Liverpool.
