The Broncos come into the game as the third ranked passing team in the league and the Chargers are coming in after a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Broncos have been playing great lately and this is a big divisional matchup, as both of these teams made the playoffs last year, with the Chargers winning over the Bengals before losing to the Broncos in Denver. The Broncos won that game and now the two will face off and it has two of the best quarterbacks in the league with Manning and Rivers matching up against each other.
The Broncos won big over the 49ers last week and that game gave Peyton Manning the TD record on a fantastic pass to Demaryius Thomas and he made a great catch to lock it in. Thomas had a huge game with 171 yards receiving and Manning had another 300 yard game and now the teams are matching up and this is big in the division and the AFC overall. Denver now leads San Diego with a 5-1 record and the Chargers are 5-2 and this game could see the teams tied atop the division if the Chargers win.
The Broncos have only lost one game this season and that was in overtime to the Seattle Seahawks and now they have the chance to keep their winning streak going as they go through the toughest part of the season schedule. The team just played a playoff team in the Niners after playing the Jets and now they have two more from last season in the Chargers and the Patriots, with the matchup next week coming on the road against Tom Brady in New England.
The team has the Chargers and then three straight matchups on the road with the Patriots, Raiders and Rams and then they have the Dolphins and Chiefs, with the Chiefs game on the road. The team has four of the next five on the road and those are tough but winnable games and then the team ends the season with two on the road and two home. The Broncos have the Bills, Chargers, Bengals and Raiders, while the Chargers come in after a loss to the Chiefs. The team had won five games in a row and now they matchup with the Broncos in Denver after losing in the playoffs there last season.
