The South Florida Bulls and the Cincinnati Bearcats are playing live on the ESPN college football schedule and the matchup is on TV from ESPN2 and streaming online from WatchESPN at Paul Brown Stadium starting up past 7 pm ET as these two AAC teams matchup in an American Athletic Conference game on Friday night football.
The Bulls have not been good this season and while they are 3-4 and 2-1 in the conference, the offense and the defense has not played consistently. The team is ranked near the bottom part of the nation in most categories, including passing yards per game, rushing yards and points scored. The team is also ranked 86th in points allowed and they will have to play well on Friday night to win against the Bearcats.
The team comes in after a win against Tulsa on the road and now they are on the road against Cincy. The team had lost four of five before winning that game and two of those games were against ranked teams. The Bulls played against Wisconsin and East Carolina and they lost both of those games and now they have Cincy before a game against Houston. The Bulls opened the season with a win but then they lost two games against the Maryland Terrapins and the NC State Wolfpack.
The rest of the schedule is not that tough compared to those early games and players like Mike white and Marlon Mack will have to step things up. White comes in with just six TDs on the season and 1090 yards in the air, while Mack has been solid while leading the team in rushing. Mach has over 700 yards this season with eight touchdowns and he could be the key for the team on Friday. The team has four of the next five games on the road including the game against Tulsa they just played.
After playing against Tulsa on the road the team is in Cincy and then they have Houston at home. The team ends the season with SMU and Memphis on the road and their final game is a rivalry matchup with UCF. The Bearcats come into the game after a massive win against SMU and quarterback Gunner Kiel had a strong game with over 240 passing yards. Cincy has the chance to run up the score here, as they are ranked 12th in the nation in passing yards per game with 322 per contest.
Chris Moore is leading the team in receiving and he has been very solid with 18 catches for 421 yards and five touchdowns, while McKay is the second leading WR with 19 catches and 377 yards and also five scores. The team had lost three straight after opening with wins against Toledo and Miami of Ohio and those were to Ohio State, Memphis and Miami. The team now has USF and then they play against Tulane, East Carolina and UConn. The end of the season schedule has Tempe and Houston as the final matchups.
