The New Orleans Hornets team has had a rough summer league start in two very close games, now have a record of 0-2.
There last game was Monday against the Milwaukee Bucks, in which they lost with a score of 76-88.
Lance Thomas, who was with the U.S. select team before coming to Las Vegas, lead all scorers with a game high 22 points. In just two games Thomas has remained consistent both as a scorer and rebounder, averaging 17 points and 7 rebounds per game.
Thomas had help from forward Darius Miller and guard Brian Roberts who each scored 11 points in the Hornets loss.
Guard Austin Rivers, whose averaging 10 points per game, contributed 6 points and 5 assist. However, with two minutes remaining in the first, Rivers driving baseline landed hard on his left elbow, but was able to continue playing throughout the game.
The Bucs were lead in scoring by guard Doron Lamb with 20 points and forward Tobias Harris with 19 points.
Jarrid Famous gave a solid effort for the Bucs dropping 13 points and recording 11 rebounds in the game.
As a team the Bucs combined for 40 rebounds and 9 block shots in comparison to the Hornets 24 rebounds and 6 block shots.
The Hornets are scheduled to play the Phoenix Suns in their next game Wednesday, July 18 at 5:30 p.m.
The Hornets summer league team has just two more games remaining.
