Chicago Bulls vs. New York Knicks Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming NBA Game Opener

The Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks are playing live on ESPN for the first game of the NBA season for NY and the network and the game is on at 8 pm ET and streaming from the WatchESPN website as Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony battle at Madison Square Garden and this is the first high profile matchup for the teams and comes before the Knicks play LeBron James and the Cavaliers.

The Knicks have high expectations for this season with a new head coach in Derek Fisher and a fresh offense with the triangle. The team has the Cavaliers as their next game and that will be big, as it will be the debut for LeBron James and that matchup is on national TV as well. The Knicks have Anthony back and they see him as the foundational player as they try and build for a championship.

The Knicks won 10 games against their division last season and now they come in with two quick big games against Rose and the Bulls and LeBron and the Cavaliers. The Knicks have many questions for the season and it starts with the offense, as they have a new system and it will be interesting to see how the team and Carmelo adjust. Last season Carmelo was second in the league in scoring after winning the title the year before and he said it's fine if his numbers go down this season.

Last year Anthony averaged 27 points and now the Knicks will need a new leader in assists and rebounds, as they traded away both Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton. The team now has the chance to bring in some new names and Jose Calderon, Samuel Dalembert and Cleanthony Early are all expected to be major contributors. Last season the Bulls were the top defensive team in the league and one of the worst offensive teams and that is why they went after Carmelo in the offseason.

The Bulls won 48 games without Rose for the second straight season and now they have Pau Gasol and the players like Doug McDermott and Aaron Brooks coming in. The team has high hopes for Gasol and he should be a top defensive tandem with Joakim Noah, who is one of if not the best defensive players in the league. The Knicks have a chance to make an impact this year and they want to get back to the playoffs, while the Bulls feel they have a title run in them. The Knicks have a tough conference and a winnable division and they expect to be back in the playoffs after starting 3-13 last season and winning just 37 games in a bad east.
