The Seattle Sounders and FC Dallas are playing live on the MLS playoffs schedule and things pick up from Toyota Stadium in Texas as the Sounders visit for the first leg and the game is on ESPN2 and streaming from the WatchESPN website at 9 pm ET and 8 pm CT for the western conference semifinals matchup and it has the Supporters Shield.
The Sounders were the best team in the league this season and they won the Supporters Shield over the LA Galaxy and now they face off against Dallas after they made it in against Vancouver for the knockout game. The team beat the Whitecaps and now they have the first leg against the Sounders and Seattle had the best record in the west this season and overall in the MLS.
Seattle has won eight times head to head all time in games against Dallas and this season the team is 2-1 and one of those wins was in Dallas and now they will be looking for another one. Sporting Kansas City is out of the mix and that means a new champion will be crowned this year and Seattle is considered to be the favorites. Dallas won over Vancouver in Frisco to advance into the postseason against the Sounders and now the first leg match gives the team a chance to get an advantage.
The win for Dallas was the first for the team in the playoffs in four years and now they have won nine times at home in the last 10 matchups at Toyota. Seattle is trying to win the MLS Cup as the Supporters Shield winner for the first time since back in 2011 and they are expected to be there at the end this season and Clint Dempsey has said that is the goal for the team.
