Chicago Bulls News: Derrick Rose Addresses the Fans, Says He Will Be Back As Soon As Possible (Video)

Jul 20, 2012 04:39 PM EDT

Bulls star Derrick Rose expects to return to the court soon.

Rose was injured late in the playoff-opening win over Philadelphia, and the Bulls bowed out in the first round. Rose tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee along with two tears in the meniscus cartilage.

Team physician Dr. Brian Cole has said Rose could return around mid-January or early February or miss next season entirely.

How soon he regains the form that made him the 2010-11 League MVP remains to be seen.

Rose posted a video on his Facebook page where he says he's been receiving therapy on a daily basis and says he is "going to be all right" and "should be back there on the court soon."

Back in early June, news from Chicago was the Derrick Rose was ahead of schedule in his rehabing program.

The Chicago Bulls this offseason have been looking to find additional support should Rose be unavailable this upcoming season.

Posted below is Rose's video he posted on his Facebook.

Rose only played in 39 of the 66 regular season games the Bulls played this past season. The 23-year-old averaged 21.8 points a game.

Even without Rose in the lineup, the Bulls managed to finish in first place in the Eastern Conference as they had a 50-16 record.

They were tied with the San Antonio Spurs with the best record of 2012.
