The Cleveland Browns won again on Thursday and at 6-3 they are alive for the playoffs and now Josh Gordon is set to return soon and that will be big for Brian Hoyer, while fantasy football owners have been eagerly awaiting his comeback and as the season pushes on, Terrance West, Isaiah Crowell and Ben Tate are strong fantasy pickups for Week 11, as they all have been contributing to the offense.
The Browns have been one of the surprise teams of the season in the NFL and once Josh Gordon comes back, the offense could really get rolling. Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel have done a solid job for Brian Hoyer and once Gordon is back that should open up things even more for the offense. The rushing attack has also been very solid and even with Ben Tate leading the way, Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell have done a good job as backups.
The Browns have been an up and down team for fantasy owners, but with Josh Gordon set to come back, everyone should get a boost. The return of Gordon will mean less targets for Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel, but it also could open things up for those two players as well as Brian Hoyer. Gordon was suspended for the year but that was changed because the NFL finally had to do something about their idiotic rules and now fantasy owners that predicted that would happen will be rewarded.
Gordon was one of the best players in all of football last season and had over 80 catches and led the league with 1646 yards and that was only in 14 games. Gordon will need time to get back into the swing of things, but once that happens he could be deadly. Hawkins has played very well with him out and Gabriel has also emerged as a solid option. Granted, all of this has come without Jordan Cameron being healthy and one can only imagine if the team had Cameron, Gordon and Hoyer playing well all at the same time.
The Browns RB situation has given some fantasy owners heart attacks, as Ben Tate has been the leader when healthy, while West and Crowell have also gotten carries. Once Tate came back, west and Crowell had been splitting carries, with Mike Pettine bouncing back and forth with seemingly no real reasoning and now all three could be solid options. No player will put up a ton of points, but Tate and West seem like strong options after this week's game.
West had nearly 100 yards rushing and scored a TD and now it looks like he will be the prime backup for now. West is the best option after getting 26 carries this week and he is considered the hot player of the group. Tate is still a strong option and in deeper league Crowell also could be a nice fit for teams. The Browns have first place in the AFC North right now and they are looking to make a playoff run and the return of Gordon would be huge for that and could open up the rushing game for West.
