In this game, the U.S. fell in love with the three-point ball. They started out hot, taking a 14-1 lead in the first quarter thanks to the threes, but eventually, when they started missing, the Argentineans were able to get into the game. The U.S. went 13-34 from three in this game.Missed threes and fouls were the weakness in the Team USA's performance.

In the second quarter they allowed Argentina to outscore them 24-16 as the US took a 47-40 lead into the half.

Team USA constantly let big leads escape throughout the game. They held a 20-point lead in the third quarter, but before the period ended Argentina cut the lead down to 72-61.

The U.S. managed to counter Argentina's attack.

With the game 78-74, Durant hit a huge three that gave the team some breathing room.
