The English Premier League is looking to get an influx of talent in the January transfer window and teams like Chelsea and Manchester United are looking to target Gerard Pique from Barcelona, as he has fallen out of favor with the team and he could be moving back to the EPL, as he once was with Man United and now the Red Devils and Blues could bring him over.
According to Pro Soccer Talk, the Daily Mirror reports that Pique is troubled with how his playing time has been going since the World Cup and after the international break he could be on the move. Pique would be a good move for either Chelsea or Manchester United and right now the Blues would be adding some strength, as they already have the best record in the EPL and are leading the table in points and goals scored.
The 27 year old id a top class player and Pique clearly wouldn't mind making a move right now and it will be interesting to see who gets him. Man United could use a boost on the back end and he has connections there from when he previously played, while Chelsea looks awfully tempting with how they have started off this season. The Blues also potentially could give themselves some insurance with John Terry on a one year deal, which ends after the season.
Pique has a contract into 2019 with the team and this week the team and Pique had some issues, as Luis Enrique "made a show of sending him to warm up - despite all three substitutions having been used" according to the recent report. Either way, Chelsea and Man United will be looking at making additions at the deadline window.
